The above 1962 photo is of Birmingham, AL rockers The Churchkeys, which later that year became The Bassmen, which became The Candystore Prophets in (shocker) 1967. The photo is from the fucking awesome Southern Garage Bands site, which you should spend the morning digging through. If only because, amongst the unfortunately abundant dead links, you will find gems like this:
